+area code is a timeline within the House Calls universe that reflects 90s and Y2K aesthetics with an emphasis on rave culture, escapism, urban travel. and exploration. This boom of technology made us feel digitally connected but often socially empty. With technology and surveillance encroaching, we had to start speaking in code, gathering in unconventional spaces, and liberate ourselves from phones. Locations are kept secret from all non-ticket holders, urging people to find the code and tap into our hotline.
The door is unlocked, you just have to find it.
Each +area code ad has it’s own visual aesthetic, while living within the confines of the Yellow Pages. Fake ads around the main graphic contain callouts to the headliner and the House Calls brand.
Area Code flyers are featured prominently on the Area Code Instagram and Dice, a popular ticketing app.
